Tips for Fellow Zazzlers

Image
Zazzle Tips Lately a lot of people have been asking me questions like,  if I can take a look at their stores and give them feedback. orif I can manage their stores. Or what they can change to make sales.  So, I want to start out by saying, I am not a professional consultant or marketer. That is not what I do. I'm just like you guys always looking for what the next trend is, fad is, or what products sell the best. And my goal of this channel, is focused more on teaching  you guys  "HOW" to make products. I don't look at myself as a professional marketer or consultant.  To be able to just "look" at someone's store and tell them what they are doing right or wrong really isn't possible. I'd have to go in there with their password and see their back end, sales, key words, tags and there is just so much that would have to be evaluated. And even with that, I would really not be able to tell you much as each shop sell different products. That being sai

Best Tagging and Keyword Practices

Best Tagging and Keyword Practices So today we are going to talk a little about tags and keywords. I'm just going to go over some of Zazzle's suggestions and rules quickly then direct you to where you can get more detailed info.  Let's start with your title.  When you make a title for a product you will want to: 1. Think of what phrase or words you would use to search for a product like yours. Make the title based on that. Fill it with keywords that you think the customer will use to find your product.  2. Zazzle asks that each title be unique. Don't use the same exact title for more than one product or use one someone else has used. It's hard, I am guilty of it myself. It's so easy to transfer a design to another product and just keep the same title. It can be hard to think of different ways to describe one item in twenty different ways, but try your best. I need to improve at this too. Zazzle says Google wants unique content, and one way to keep it unique is b

Taxes for PODers

Taxes for PODers So you need a permit or license to sell POD products?  No,  You're considered a contractor or self-employed. Should you become an LLC? Some people choose to when they start making more money. There are some benefits such as protection for your personal assets if you get sued. Someone can still sue the business but not you personally. Why would you get sued? For using someone else's art for example.  If you do choose to become an LLC You will need to make a business bank account. You will need to have the business filed to make a bank account. So as for your claiming your taxes.  * You'll get a 1099 tax form from Zazzle * Once you get the form you can claim your earnings on either "other income" or on  a "Schedule C" so that you can claim deductibles on tax form. Review on Zazzle's Morphing Coffee Mug

Morphing Coffee Cup Review Hey everyone! Lisa here from how to zazzle.  So today I want to do a review on the morphing Zazzle mugs.   So, I joke about how I have been on zazzle for well over a decade now and still notice new things all the time, right? So here is one of those things.   A month ago, I ordered a mug from one of my viewers, Smokey Mountain Papers , who had made a mug for my blog, Time for the Holidays , for National Milk Day . I thought this mug was so cute, the design is cute and it's perfect for my grandkids when they visit and always want chocolate milk. This will be their chocolate milk mug.  So anyways, this is what I ordered. And this is what I got. So I wrote to Zazzle and explained that i ordered a mug with this cute cow design but what i got was just an all-black mug. They wrote back to me to let me know the morhping mugs come in all black or all blue, and color change when you put hot liquid in them! I had no idea. I guess I thought the "morphing"

I was one of the Sesame Street Challenge Winners on Zazzle

Image
Sesame Street Zazzle Contest So, awhile back, October 2024, Sesame Street and Zazzle did a contest asking people to design art using their characters.  They said winners would be selected based on the originality, creativity, visual appeal, and trendiness of their artwork. There would be two Grand Prize Winners, one for celebrating life’s moments and one for general art. The prize would be $1,000, as well as the opportunity to earn 5% of the net sales of any products that were sold featuring their artwork,  The next winners would be "Judge’s Picks". Winners of this category get the chance to earn 5% of nets sales of the products that are sold featuring their artwork. There would also be a coloring book category. Three winners would be picked and win a prize which would be a Zazzle product such as a water bottle. So, I drew up this image of Sesame Street characters saying "Be Kind" in ASL (American Sign Language}. In the meanwhile, as some of you have heard me vent a
